We aim to create a space where people leave full. Full of joy and the wonderful food we harvest. A space where people leave better than they came and friends become family.
Our Story
When Salome and Mark bought the farm in the summer of 2020 it had been vacant for 40 years. The barns were full of century-old hay and garbage. As we resurrect each barn we breathe life into it. For the first time in what seems like forever, the farm has seen animal life. The animals and our efforts combined bring rejuvenating life to this old forgotten place.
Our name, Ruach, is a Hebrew word meaning “breath of life”. It is an adjective that commonly describes the Holy Spirit. We believe that this breath is at the center of everything we do. As we resurrect this farm we hope that people would come to feel peace, and leave fuller than they came. Full of joy and full of the wonderful food we harvest.
Together, Mark, Salome, Lorne, and Mikaela manage the business and run all farm operations. The four of us desire to turn this passion into a business. With an online presence, we hope to bring farming into this century. We want to make our products and farm accessible to all those who are interested.
We are all about family here at Ruach farm, and we invite you to join ours!
